GLOBAL FARM EQUIPMENT GROUP AGRIEVOLUTION ALLIANCE TO RAISE ITS PUBLIC PROFILE
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports:
The Sector Board reviewed a report on current activities of Agrievolution Alliance, a global coalition of agriculture equipment manufacturing associations for which AEM serves as the secretariat.
The Sector Board learned that the alliance plans to put together a paper to raise the industry’s global public profile. The alliance wants to address the fact that many times machinery and engineering aspects of agriculture are completely overlooked in contrast to the inputs and genetics side of the industry – this issue hold true for all world regions represented.
Agrievolution Alliance will meet with organizations like the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), World Food Bank, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, World Farmers Organization, environmental groups, International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council, etc. to present its paper and make its case.
Agrievolution Alliance is also organizing a Forum in New Delhi, India, in December 2013 to further its work of sharing information on the importance of ag equipment in achieving the goal of adequately and efficiently feeding and clothing the world population.
Agrievolution Alliance has moved quickly since its formation in April 2012 to facilitate collaboration within the agriculture equipment manufacturing industry among major world agricultural regions.
