Seafood exports surge by $85.2 million

The country exported $85.202 million in July-September period of the current fiscal year as compared to the commodity’s export of $63.422 million in the same period of last fiscal year, showing a rise of $21.78 million or 34.34 percent, according to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

In terms of volume, the seafood export went up to 36,273 metric tons in July-September period of the current fiscal year from 27,174 metric tons in the same period of last fiscal year, growing by 9 099 metric tons or 33.8 percent, say the PBS.
